What they sell

From the public store pages the channel links to, checked Oct 14, 2026.

How they sell it

  1. 1Video
  2. 2DescriptionDescriptions open with '📘 Get Make Them Pay here:' and the Gumroad link (30 of 30 recent, 23 in the first line)
  3. 3Landing pageGumroad · Gumroad product page, £14.99 PDF, refund on request · knowrightsuk.gumroad.com
  4. 4CheckoutGumroad
  • Store link in 100% of recent descriptions
  • Link in descriptions since Jul 17, 2026
  • Entry points: the About page, the first line of descriptions, the description body

Since mid-July every recent description carries a 'Get Make Them Pay here' link to a Gumroad product page, usually as the first line, and the about section links the same page as 'the handbook'. The page sells Make Them Pay, a 40-page, 15-chapter UK police accountability PDF for £14.99 with a no-questions refund on request and a statement that it is general legal education, not legal advice. The same Gumroad store also lists Know Your Rights, a £14.99 police-encounter handbook with a phone 'wallet script', which recent descriptions no longer link. No email signup or bundle is shown on either page.

Analysis

Our own reading of the channel’s public titles, descriptions and thumbnails, not data from YouTube.

Persona

Oliver Bennett

Retired professional · Middle-aged · Male · Office with framed pictures in the avatar; composited into street, doorstep and roadside scenes in thumbnails

Niche

What to say when UK police stop, search or question you (England and Wales law)

Audience

Ordinary UK drivers and householders, many framed as law-abiding and older (one description addresses people over sixty), who want plain-English scripts for police encounters at the roadside or the front door (inferred from titles, descriptions and the about text).

Avatar
  • Realistic avatar
  • A photorealistic man in his forties with short dark hair and a trimmed beard, always in the same charcoal suit, white shirt and navy tie, shown head-and-shoulders and composited beside police and street scenes.
Format

One police-encounter line per video: the exact words the officer says, why the polite answer backfires, the law behind it (PACE codes, statutes, cases), then the one sentence to say instead; some videos retell a real case or give home-security tips.

Content pillars
  • Roadside and traffic stops
  • Police at the front door
  • Arrest, detention and the right to silence
  • Cash seizure and searches
  • Court cases retold
  • Home security against burglars
Title patterns
  • 🚨 If a UK Officer Says "[X]" — Say THIS ([consequence])
  • 🚨 If Police Knock and Say "[X]" — Say THIS (One Sentence)
  • SOLICITOR: If a UK Officer Says "[X]" — Say THIS
  • 🚨 The Tricks UK Police Use the SECOND You [X] (and How to Beat Each One)
  • [N] Things That Make Burglars [X] (Most UK Homeowners Miss Them)
Thumbnails

The suited persona pointing or raising a finger beside a photoreal police, car or house scene; huge white and yellow all-caps text ("DON'T FALL FOR IT", "DO THIS TONIGHT"), red circles and arrows, a red TRICK stamp and a green SAY THIS badge. Some thumbnails show only the scene.

Why it works
  • One title formula: 17 of the 29 recent uploads listed use "... — Say THIS", as do 7 of the 10 most viewed; 9 of those 10 start with 🚨
  • Driver stops lead: 3 of the 4 most viewed videos (window, number plate, step out of the car; 256k–293k views) are about being pulled over
  • A stated credential: the about text presents the persona as a defence solicitor of fifteen years, and several titles open with "SOLICITOR:"
  • High output: 78 videos between 2026-06-28 and 2026-10-04, about 4.2 a week at a median 14 min, with 1.07M views gained in the last 30 days
  • Descriptions open on a concrete second-person scene and cite specific law (PACE Code A, s.294 POCA), with the store link in 30 of 30 recent descriptions
