Persona

Thomas Brennan

Expert · Senior · Male · Priest-style presenter in a library or church interior

Niche

Traditional Catholic Mass and devotion guidance for older Catholics

Audience

Older, devout or lapsed-and-returning Catholics who want traditional teaching on the Mass, Communion, confession and a holy death (inferred from titles such as 'After 60', 'dying loved one' and the transcript hooks).

Avatar
  • Realistic avatar
  • A photorealistic older man with glasses and gray hair, in a black clerical shirt with white collar and a cream cable-knit cardigan, shown in libraries and candle-lit church interiors.
Format

Long (about 24 min) voice-led teaching on one Mass or devotion topic, usually a numbered list of mistakes or rules, a held-back final item, then a pitch for the $27 manual.

Content pillars
  • Mistakes and etiquette at Mass
  • Receiving Communion
  • Confession and examination of conscience
  • Rosary and prayer
  • Death, purgatory and prayers for the dying
Title patterns
  • [N] Mistakes We Make When [doing X] (Are You Committing Sacrilege?)

Thumbnails

The same presenter at right with a raised finger or open palm, bold yellow and white caps with red accents, a red arrow or circle pointing at a church, candle or confessional scene on a dark warm background.

Why it works
  • Fear-and-curiosity title formula ('Most Catholics...', '99%', 'IMMEDIATELY') on most of the 30 dated uploads
  • Communion-mistakes video has 10,911 views, about 8 times the next-best video (1,412)
  • Steady output: about 4 uploads a week, each 23-25 min, with the same persona throughout
  • Every description and video ends on one product: a $27 manual, linked in 29 of 30 descriptions
