Niche

Spanish-language houseplant and patio care, one plant per video

Audience

Spanish-speaking owners of houseplants and balcony or patio pots (titles reference Madrid, All Saints' Day and the autumn and winter seasons) who have lost plants and want simple, no-cost fixes (inferred from titles, descriptions and the about text).

Avatar

• Realistic avatar
• A photorealistic middle-aged woman with gray-streaked dark hair tied back, a beige T-shirt and a brown apron, shown from the waist up on sunny patios, balconies and in living rooms among terracotta pots, gesturing toward the plants. The avatar and banner use the same portrait.

Format

One plant per video as 11 or 12 numbered grandmother tricks: it names the real cause of the problem, teases a mistake held for the end, gives each trick with amounts and a test on her own patio plants, then asks for comments and a subscribe. No product or link is pitched.

Content pillars

• Winter care for houseplants (monstera, ficus, fern, pothos)
• Seasonal planting calendars for September and October
• Making geraniums, poinsettias and Christmas cactus flower
• Propagation and reviving nearly dead plants
• Herbs and patio plants such as rosemary and aromatics

Why it works

• 'Abuela' is in 24 of 30 titles; the '12 Trucos De La Abuela' formula is in 12 titles and in 5 of the top 10 by views
• Single-plant promises: the 2 most viewed videos name one plant and a result (rosemary that lasts years, 36,164 views; winter geraniums, 31,158)
• Seasonal timing: 16 of 30 titles name a month, season or holiday, and 3 of the top 5 are seasonal (geraniums, Christmas cactus, September planting)
• Persona anecdotes: each of the 7 newest descriptions gives a first-person test or plant story, and the about text says every trick is tried on her pots
• Near-daily output: 30 dated videos from Aug 28 to Oct 7, each about 15 to 16 minutes, and a transcript line promising a video a day
